The European Union has recently initiated a Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) ( Directive 2002/95/EC)[reduce the use of hazardous material in electronic equipment "lead-Pb, cadmium-Cd, mercury-Hg, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants] along with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) ( Directive 2002/96/EC) criteria for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment

As an independent distributor of electronic components, Patriot Components, Inc., does not manufacture any of the products that it sells and does not control any processes or materials used in the design, development and/or manufacturing of the products. Thus can not certify component compliance to RoHS or any other Directive or Legislation restricting or requiring any substances and/or processes in the manufacturing of the components.
